Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin won his first trophy as part of the Lisbon “Benfica”. In the final of the Portuguese League Cup, his team defeated their main rival – “Sporting”.
The tournament was held in the “Final Four” format. In the semi-final match, “Benfica” confidently defeated “Braga” with a score of 3:0. The Ukrainian goalkeeper started in both matches.
The main time of the final match, which took place on January 11, 2025, ended in a 1:1 draw. The fate of the trophy was decided in a penalty shootout, where the Ukrainian goalkeeper saved the decisive shot, which brought his team victory and the trophy.
